Cardiff

Just landed (1130) is G-NJIM a PA-32..i thinkts parked on the new stands.

It appears this mornings Onur Air A321 TC-OAF is sick, its parked on echo at the moment (1145) carrying out engine runs.

Landing now (1155) on runway 12 is G-WVIP "Capitol Aviation" Beech 200 c/s Prestige 06. Now departing (1310) c/s "Prestige 06B"

Just flown overhead (1245) is A380 F-WWEA on its way in to Filton....what a superb sight !..this one seen again on its way home skirting the Southern part of CWL (1500)

Just landed (1334) on runway 12 is Laerjet 35A D-CEXP ....BEAST !!...departed off runway 12 (1645)

Currently (1425) e/b along the coast is XZ294/- an Army Gazelle from 658Sqdn Netheravon

St Athan

Inbound to St Athan now (1300) is XW216 a Puma c/s "Vortex 01 " of 230Sqdn/Belfast-Aldergrove. This departed Saints (1325)

MOD St Athan Information - EGSY 07/25

To spot here you're best off taking the B4265 St Athan to Llantwit Major road. From here you will see a railway bridge that leads to a paved track that runs along the fence and runway. This track leads to an unmanned entrance gate and is under CCTV surveillance. If you use this track, please park at the far end, not on the verges, as it is used by wide farm vehicles and delivery lorries. All a/c in outside storage can be seen from the bridge itself. The track can also be accessed via St Athan village via Llantwit Road opposite the Church. To view the Caerdav hangar (Twin Peaks) and scrapping area continue westbound along the B4265, past the West Gate entrance and turn right at the traffic lights. Follow this road to the T-junction and turn right onto the new road. The entrance road to the South Wales Aviation Museum is left at the next traffic lights, views can also be had from here as it's the only convenient stopping place. Be aware there are regular Security and Police patrols around the airfield and you may be stopped and questioned.
